Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to Weleetka and the surrounding area. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as driving a van, to mowing the grounds, to working with children and youth, or serving meals. We have a place for you to be involved.

Outreach

Weleetka First Baptist is thrilled to be active in the community around us. We know that people need hope. Each week we seek to show hope by providing meals for families and students as a way to reach people for Christ. In addition, we are also active in connecting people in need with people who can help. When a need arises in our community, we as a church body seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus in those situations.

Children’s Ministry

Investing in the spiritual well-being of everyone is a priority at Weleetka First Baptist. We get excited about the opportunity to help build the foundation of Jesus Christ into the lives of kids. We have opportunities for children to be involved through our Nursery, Sunday School classes for children, Children’s Church, Wednesday Night Bible Drill, and yearly Children’s Camp at Falls Creek. If you have children, we have a place for them to be connected.

Student Ministry

John 3:30 says, “He [Jesus] must increase and I must decrease. He must become greater and I must become less.” This is precisely the goal of the Weleetka First Baptist student ministry. In a world where everthing is cliche, we understand that people want to be apart of something greater.  In the student ministry, we strive to connect teenagers to the Kingdom of Christ. We want teens to grow in their faith and become dangerous disciples of Jesus. Students have many opportunities to be involved through Sunday Morning CONNECT, Wednesday Night Elevate, One-on-One Discipleship, Falls Creek Summer Camp, Fall Retreat, Youth Evangelism Conference, or fun excursions like the yearly WinterJam concert or OKC Dodgers games. We want teens to be connected in our church. Above all else though, we want teens to be connected to Jesus. Prayer Team

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer connects our hearts to God’s heart and moves us to work where He is working. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Wednesday morning, a team of dedicated people meet and pray over the needs of our church and the needs of our community. Throughout the week, volunteers from our church stand ready to pray for any needs that become known. In our church, people matter. Prayer matters.
